Information & Facts
Mass Incarceration is a major problem in the United States.
The United States has over 2 million people incarcerated, which is by far more than any other country in the world.
The rates of recidivism are 70% in the US, which is also higher than anywhere else in the world. This means that seven out of ten people who walk out of prison will be rearrested within two to five years.
Statistics show that 95% of people who are currently incarcerated will eventually be released one day.
It is imperative to rehabilitate these individuals prior to their release and to remove the barriers once they come home.
The Chad Lake Foundation (CLF) is dedicated to developing and implementing programs to help these individuals be successful upon their release.
